STUDY DAYS -"Equity, Inclusion and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy: Training and Experiences of Professional Educators in Ontario and Quebec".

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in a study days on “Equity, Inclusion and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy: Training and Experiences of Professional Educators in Ontario and Quebec”. It will be held in Montreal on the 24th and25th of October, 2013, at the Carrefour des arts et des sciences (Métro Côte-des-Neiges). The study days brings together researchers, practitioners, and policy makers from universities, ministries of Education, and school boards in Quebec and Ontario.

In light of the interprovincial nature of this event, some presentations will be given in French and others in English, but comments and discussion may be in either English or French, depending on the language preference of the participants.

This panel on November 1, 2012 was part of a two day sharing and collaboration in working towards build strong links and joint projects between the Centre for Urban Schooling in Toronto and CEETUM in Montreal. The visit was supported by the OISE Visiting Scholars Program.

Doctoral and Postdoctoral Funded Internship Opportunity at CEETUM in Montreal
Under current arrangements between the Centre for Ethnic Studies at Montreal Universities (CEETUM) and the Centre for Urban Schooling (CUS), CEETUM offers an internship for a doctoral or postdoctoral student connected to CUS to do a three month internship at CEETUM in Montreal. The internship will be awarded to a student whose research focuses on the themes of the Education and Ethnic Relations group within CEETUM: 1) Change in the education system, and 2) Curriculum and diversity.....more
