Academic Cohorts and Programs

CUS forum on Equity and Social Justice in Education

The Centre for Urban Schooling (CUS) is pleased to announce a new forum on urban/inner city educational issues. CUS is working to develop a public Canadian dialogue on the meaning of urban education in Canadian cities. This forum is an opportunity for practitioners and academics to focus on a particular area of urban education and its connections to equity and social justice in inner city schools.

For complete information, please visit the Forum on Equity and Social Justice.

Bachelor of Education

Here at OISE, the Centre for Urban Schooling has worked to initiate and support new teacher education programs that have a focus on teaching in inner city schools and communities. Because of this, there is now an elementary pre-service teacher education Inner City Option and a secondary pre-service teacher education cohort, named Secondary Program: Inner City Education (SPICE).
